Of Grass Amid The Fields
But He Wouldn't Agree
To Be The Dandelion

She Turned Herself into A Bulb
She Wanted To Be A Robin Singing But He Would't Let Her Grow
Through The Leaves
But He Refused To Be
Her Tree

She Spun Herself Into A Web She Decided It Was All
And Looking For A Place To Rest Right
Turned To Him
But He Stood Straight
Declining To Be
Her Corner

She Tried To Be A Book
But He Wouldn't Read

She Turned Herself Into A Bulb
But He Would't Let Her Grow


She Decided To Become
A Woman
And Though He Still Refused
To Be A Man
She Decided It Was All

I Felt This Poem Was Really Good . When I Read The Poem I Though The Women Who Wrote The Poem Had Low Self- A-Steem At The Time The Poem Was Written . The Poem Just Shows And Tell All That a Woman Will Do . The Woman Isn't Asking For A Million Bucks Or Material Things She Just Clearly Wanted The Mans To Give Her Attention . Woman Will Change Their Selves To Fit The Mans Wishes But Still It's Never Good Enough. So At The End Of The Day The Woman Just Be Herself And Realize She Doesn't Need The Man. It Was A Relief That At The End Of The Poem She Stop Changing Herself To Please Someone Else . Instead She Stop Changing Herself To Be Happy Within .
